I could go on and on about this thing. I'd love to go on and on about many things. Difficult one that is. I have trouble stringing it all together. If I was better at that I could probably blog for a living. Or a partial one anyway. Speaking of anyway. While on the topic of drums...I ran across this video the other day. At first I was put off by all the showy stick twirling and what-have-you. As the video progresses you see that this dude is more than showing off. He's freaking unbelievable. If you enjoy watching people with immense talent, in any field, watch the video all the way through. Ok, I'm out of time. Oh, BTW if TVI happens to read this...wasn't that drumkit yours at one point? We got it from Beaver. I'd love to know anything you might remember about it. And yes, this is only part of it.

What have I been doing?
Well, I'm glad you asked. Doing a lot of thinking. Working on my old drumkit.

HEY SURLY, WHAT THAT GUY DOESW WITH A PRETTY SIMPLE KIT IS PRETTY DAMN AMAZING! THE KIT WE HAD WAS A BLUE AND WHITE LUDWIG I THINK. NOTHING FANCY AND VERY OLD. I THINK MY BROTHER GOT THAT IN THE MID 60'S. GOOD LUCK!
TALK TO YOU SOON,

HET SURLY, WHAT THAT GUY DOES ON A PRETTY SIMPLE DRUM KIT IS AMAZING. I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT PEDAL SETUP BEFORE, IS THAT SOMETHING FAIRLY NEW? I LOVE THE LITTLE HI HAT UNDER THE BIG CYMBAL MOUNTED ON THE BASS! AS FAR AS THE DRUM KIT OF OURS GOES I BELIEVE IT WAS STRAIGHT BLUE, AND A LUDWIG KIT, MY BROTHER GOT IN THE EARLY SIXTIES. I DON'T KNOW WHO ENDED UP WITH IT. YOU COULD PROBABLY ASK "FLIC OF THE BIC" COUSIN RICK, HE WOULD PROBABLY KNOW MORE THAN ME.
TALK TO YOU SOON,

This finish on this kit is what's called Black Diamond Pearl. It looks green in the picture because it's filthy. It's a nice grey color when all cleaned up. I'll have to ask Jim and Ricky about the drums. You guys must have had another one. This one is from the early 60's. Thanks for the comment!
